silver tequila
just last night two colleague of mine from the same trade came by with some silver tequila and surprised me. The idea of drinking silver tequila somehow reminded me of dirty sad men in lil bars outside of mexico drowning their sorrows and squinting their eyes as the silver liquid burns their throat. I’m sure with that image burned into your mind, you too would have been reluctant as I was. Since my baby wasn’t around and I’ve been looking to drown my sorrows, I saw this as an invitation. I slowly tasted the drink neat, slowly as to allow the flavours and alcohol take it’s course.
To my surprise and some dismay (of wanting to get sloshed) the Jose Quervo Silver tequila was smooth with evident classic flavours of agave pleasant to the nose and burnt very little if not none at all. The distinct tropical fruit mouth feel of sugared pineapple was even present without much effort. Ryan then prepared it with cranberry and lime and another with ginger ale and orange slice. The idea was alien to us to have tequila mixed in such a way but why not since it was a free tasting…. can’t complain about that right. So down the hatch it went.
Jose Quervo silver tequila with cranberry juice and lime is without doubt a winner in my books with beautiful buttery smoothness to the texture and accentuated brilliance of the cranberry, as for the ginger ale it would be what most men would want in a drink; the original flavours of the liqueur in your mouth and the mild sweetness of ale brought in by the slice of orange. All in all it was a drink that made my day.
Perhaps baby when you come home to me we can get silly again like the last party but this time with Jose Quervo’s silver tequila hehehehehe……
